Affording a College Education
As the clock strikes 12 tonight and
we ring in a new year, many resolutions will be made and just as many broken.
Make 2002 the year you decide to plan for your future and your childs. This week
on Robyn's Nest, the television series, we learned all about 529 College Savings
Plans and Educational IRA's. Our special guest, Pete Cowen from Waddell and Reed
Financial Services showed us that how much you save may not be as important as
starting early. Join us for this in depth discussion on your local public access
stations across Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Affording a College Education -In the year 2010, a bachelor's degree could cost as much as $200,000 and a Masters degree as much as $150,000 on top of that. Most parents of newborn or young children don't even begin to consider saving for a college education until their children are in their teens. Start the New Year with a resolution to open a plan that will help you and your child to a smart start!
Prepaid College Programs – By State – Prepaid college savings plans are available in most states. See our list, select your state and begin planning for your future as well as your child’s.
